Sandustry Water Guide
Use Water to make Wet Sand from Sand and Wet Seed from Seed. Water can come from Ice, underground deposits, or rain formed when Steam condenses.
Choose a Water source
Melt Ice, collect underground Water, or capture rain after Steam reaches a place where it can condense. Build a visible holding area before routing Water into production so leaks and shortages are easy to diagnose.
Make Wet Sand
Direct contact between Sand and Water creates Wet Sand, the input processed by Shakers. Keep this mixer separate from Seed wetting so the two jobs cannot consume each other’s supply.
Wet Seed without losing track of the output
One Seed touching Water becomes one Wet Seed. A practical washer sends dry Seed back through the Water and allows only Wet Seed to leave for the Planter Box; exact dimensions depend on the tested layout.
Move Water with Steam or Pipes
Before Pipes, heat can turn Water into rising Steam that later condenses. After Pipes research, connect a Pump and Liquid Vent with one continuous network and check that the route is not broken or visually hidden behind placed blocks.
