Use Logistics for Conveyor Belts and Launchers, then use Filters when a mixed material stream needs controlled separation. Current verified Research costs are 30 Gold for Logistics, 250 for Filter, and 1500 for Advanced Filter.
Move before you overbuild
Use Conveyor Belts for horizontal movement and Launchers when solid pixels must gain height. If a receiving area is full, adding another input only moves the blockage upstream.
Filter the material that can reach the surface
In a mixed pile, denser material tends to sit lower. Configure the first Filter for the material that can physically reach it, then route the remaining stream to another stage.
Keep transformations outside a Filter
If a material changes state while trapped in a Filter, its new type may no longer match the route. Wet Sand and Wet Seed production should happen in visible processing zones before the finished material reaches its sorting Filter.
