Sandustry Beginner Guide
Start with a small, visible Wet Sand line, use Shakers to separate Gold and Residue, and spend the first Gold on the Research that removes your current bottleneck.
1. Stabilize Sand and Water
Choose a controlled Water source and bring it into direct contact with Sand. Verify a steady Wet Sand output before expanding any downstream machine.
2. Build a readable Shaker staircase
Use a downward diagonal, collect Gold below, and give Residue a separate upper exit. If the line stalls, clear Residue before adding more Wet Sand.
3. Research the next bottleneck
The current Research page lists Shaker at 20 Gold, Logistics at 30, Filter at 250, Flamethrower at 400, Kinetic Press at 500, Pipes at 1250, Advanced Filter at 1500, and Planter Box at 2000. Buy only what solves the next concrete problem.
4. Extend Residue into Seed and Flowers
Burn Residue, drop Burnt Residue at least 25 blocks onto the Kinetic Press, wash the resulting Seed into Wet Seed, and place it on a Planter Box. Keep each stage separate until it runs reliably.
